I think its time to say goodbye. The surgeries seem to have worked and all is well again. 3 years of colitis and its time to move on.
I don't know how long the health will be here for. Noone does. But I will certainly make the most of it and invest my second chance very carefully. Its been one hell of a learning experience. Nothing remains the same when you stare death in the face.

Thank you, it always brightens my day to hear from readers who find something useful here!
ReplyDeleteBTW I did my first trip out of the country today and the JPouch held up perfectly. I feel very fortunate!
Steven,
ReplyDeleteI have read your blog from near the beginning (once you posted it on the UOAA forum), and have marveled at your strength, courage, perseverance and humor. Ups and downs....quite a roller coaster ride for you and I'm thrilled you are now enjoying the view from a high point, and I hope you stay there.
Thank you so much for sharing your very personal story. I will miss your energy.
Peggy
Thanks Peggy, those are touching words. There is something so cathartic about writing, I'm going to miss it..
