Good news!

A flurry of Good News today!

-Lab results came back that I have colitis, not crohn's. Thankfully I don't have to look forward to a lifetime of resections and fistulas. Apparently, I'm now "cured".
-I ate a tonne yesterday and didn't need flushing last night!
-Prednisone is now down to 5mg. Maybe the diabetes and eye problems will go away with the drug!
-I can go home on Wednesday though I need to learn how to catheterize and flush myself still.

Oh, and for the first time in years, my resting heart rate is hovering b/w 70 and 80, not 110-115 like it used to. My haemoglobin is probably normal unlike before.

All in all, I'm starting to feel better now than I did pre surgery. While I do have a bag and it has its obvious challenges, I am looking forward to doing things and going out of the house! World watch out, Steven is coming soon!

  1. YAY!!!! I'm jealous about the heart rate. Mine got as high as the 120's, and it still hovers between 90 and 100. It is sllooooowwwwlllllyyyy going down.

Now you get to start the fun journey of gaining all that weight back. :)
