And I feel happy for it!
My PC had died and someone had to carry it to the local computer store. Instead of asking for help and staying in bed, I ended up getting the PC fixed and going shopping for food. I risked an "accident" the full 2 hours I was out.
This may not sound like much but for me was monumental. And as timing would have it I had my colitis attack 5 minutes after getting home!
One other thing. I at least had the option of asking for help today. My heart goes out for those who suffer from this disease and don't have a loving support network to rely on.
I'm glad you feel loved, because you are loved. And I'm glad you asked for help.
ReplyDeleteHaving the option of asking for help is huge for people who suffer from such an unpredictable disease. I recall dragging myself off the couch (and away from the comforts of home) to go grocery shopping with my boyfriend. Half-way through the trip, I had to excuse myself and run for the ladies room. I stayed in there until he called me on my cell phone saying he was checking out. Not sure how I would have handled things if he wasn't there to help me with the simple things.
