Its starting to get annoying to get one complication after another. The first (complication in the hospital) was hiccups which kept me pulling on my incision stitches for 48 hours. The second was vomitting. The third was a blockage due to a twist. I can include a fourth which was pain in my back end.
Now there's a fifth and I'm getting frustrated. It's a hole I just discovered that lies in the skin in my lower abdomen. It seems that my intestine made a tunnel (a fistula) out my stomach. The root cause of all these problems seems to be inflammation causing the intestines to narrow. Now the pains I've been feeling for a few days make sense. On the one hand I am distraught. On the other hand I am amazed that if theres a problem with blockages the body is smart enough to make an alternate exit. I alternate between distress and awe as I think of this.
I notice that my posts are not so funny lately. I think the complications have weighed down on me. Emotionally I'm trying my best to cope with this all. I wish it would go more smoothly.
